Exploring the ancient Greek world in Assassin's Creed Odyssey often leads players into dark, rewarding crypts hidden across the map. The Tomb of the First Pythia, located in the Grand Mount Parnassos region of Phokis, is one of the early challenges players will encounter. Navigating this structure carefully allows travelers to acquire valuable ability points and uncover hidden gear pieces.

Locating the Sacred Entrance

This burial site is positioned directly northeast of the Sanctuary of Delphi, nestled tightly into the steep mountainsides. Adventurers can easily identify the exterior entrance by looking for a large stone statue surrounded by pilgrims. Before crossing the threshold, it is highly recommended to equip a torch to combat the complete lack of ambient light inside.

Upon stepping through the main doorway, players will notice a lit hearth or brazier that sits directly in the center of the path. Turning right at this central junction reveals a dead end blocked by wooden storage furniture. To continue past this obstacle, players must look toward the opposite side to discover small openings obscured by breakable ceramic jars.

Navigating the Main Chamber and Traps

Smashing the initial set of pots reveals a narrow gap close to the ground that players can safely slide underneath. This passage descends down a flight of stone stairs into a large, dangerous chamber filled with hostile cobras. The center of this floor features a pressure-sensitive mechanism that triggers lethal spike traps if walked upon directly.

While exploring the perimeter of this spiked room, players will notice several additional clusters of large urns against the walls. Clearing away the containers on the far side reveals a hidden pathway leading into an isolated treasure vault. Inside this room, a stone chest awaits containing a pair of silver boots suited for early character leveling.

Uncovering the Ancient Stele

After collecting the armor pieces, players must return to the primary spike chamber to locate the final progression pathway. Exiting through the remaining side doorway leads into a winding corridor where extra care should be taken against hidden snakes. Following this hall until it bends reveals a heavily cracked section of masonry directly in front of the traveler.

Striking this weak wall section collapses the bricks, providing entry into the final chamber housing the glittering stone monument. Interacting with this object completes the local checklist, awarding a bonus skill point alongside a chunk of experience. Players can then exit by shoving the heavy shelves aside to clear the shortcut back toward the front entrance.
